About

Hi! I'm Caitlin Morrison. I'm an Australian trained English and History secondary school teacher. I currently work at Wick High School in the far north of the Scottish highlands having moved to the U.K. in 2015. Since I began my teacher training, I have wanted to teach in Africa in hopes I could make a difference, no matter how small. This year, I have been lucky enough to be selected to travel to Rwanda to work alongside GLP Scotland in a partnership program in which myself and a small group of teachers from the north east of Scotland will be helping to improve educational training and delivery in Rwanda - while also gaining invaluable professional development myself alongside a once in a lifetime experience!

This blog will document the entire experience from fundraising to inoculations to my time in Rwanda itself - and of course all of the wonderful teaching and learning experiences I will be able to bring back and implement in my own classroom!
